2 Concussions, Loss of Consciousness No Recommendations!

Private high school boarding school. While playing in a JV rugby match, he took a blow to the head and suffered headaches for several days after. He did not go through any concussion protocols. He thought it was just a headache.

One week later, he was playing in another rugby match and took a knee to the head. He lost consciousness for about a minute. He was diagnosed on site with a concussion. The school notified us about his condition. Their recommended approach was bed rest and no physical activity. He was not given any instructions of how much schoolwork he should do nor was he given any recommendations of when he could return to rugby practice/play. Dad spoke to him on the phone and he didn’t sound right. They had no plan of action other than stay in the dark and no activity. He ended up in bed for about three days.
